Pullback Longs

How do you decide which spots to buy?

11 May 2026 · Edited from Martin’s stream; not a verbatim quotation.

Rather than focusing on whether I'm using the 9 EMA, 21 EMA, previous highs, anchored VWAP, or a gap, I pay more attention to how many support levels the entry has. For example, a stock may be pulling back into the 21 EMA and anchored VWAP (AVWAP) at the same time, while also filling an unfilled gap. You can include the 150 EMA or the weekly 9 EMA as well. The more support levels you have at the entry, the more edge you have. However, the stock must still look good on the daily or weekly chart. It should at least be building higher lows and reacting to its moving averages instead of completely ignoring them. I don't like choppy stocks with many shakeouts and wicks.
