It depends on where the market opens. Today the market opened right at the end of the anchored VWAP (AVWAP) and slightly above the 21 and 9 EMAs. Since I was short-biased, that opening level favored the short side, so I took a few entries in the first 15 or 30 minutes. If the market opens weak, flat, or lower, I may wait for a bounce in the first 15 or 30 minutes, to see whether it can bounce into declining EMAs or unfilled gap levels. I'm not always good at sitting out the first 30- or 60-minute candle.
