This year, from my experience, good opportunities show up in a very narrow window, maybe two or three days. If you miss it, you may end up chasing. I've also given back profits by trading too actively after the trend has developed and become extended. Looking back, maybe the best thing was to close the shorts and wait for a stronger bounce. I'd prefer to be aggressive for two or three days, build the positions, then just manage them instead of taking new trades. Maybe it's better to sit out, spend less time at the screen, and manage what you already have.
